  1. Like the others have already said, they start in squads of 4. GW made the rules correlate with the current box they have.
  2. I don't think there's anything to be concerned about. LFGS all over have had huge interest in the game and the GW near me sold out in like 10 mins and he's currently waiting on his next shipment which he anticipates will be sold completely out as well. I got a box from an online store but will be getting additional units from the Gw store. This is my only way to get into heresy without going broke and spending ages building and painting huge blobs of infantry. Plus I've got a 3D printer I've been making Rhinos, Infantry, etc on. So me personally, its dope. I'm mad excited about the game and I think everyone else is too.
  3. I mean if that makes you feel better about, okay. It should keep moving forward nonstop. It was the the same point for literal decades until they decided to move it along. Why stop now? The setting/hobby is more popular than ever.
  4. Bring them all back. Why not? They're creatures of the warp technically. The Emperor can do his shenanigans and bring back the times of old like it was during the crusade. Is Guilliman not working toward that epoch again? The lore needs to move forward at some point. It's fairly stagnant honestly. It's been in a proverbial state of "10,000 years later" and nothing has happened. If you can't handle a fictional universe changing, theres bigger fish to fry my friends.
  5. I found the argonauts story arch wasn't really needed. Personally, I've never cared for John and Oll in the previous stories during the HH. They went all that way for nothing to happen. I'd be pretty upset for another 500+ pages of the same stuff we read from Vol. I, so fingers crossed we get something of substance with the remaining volumes.
  6. I don't understand why everyone gets so weird about the color of Salamanders. So what if the lore says they have jet black skin and red eyes due to their geneseed mutation. This is the only chapter I continually see folks get their lore hats on and debate seriously for far too long. Paint the models white. Paint the models brown. If a person wants to have them look realistic and relatable, do it. But this constant "wElL tHe LoRe SaYs ThIs....!" *Insert repeated statement of copied lore point on their aesthetic is old as hell. If you wanna follow the lore to the letter, do that too but let it go, please
  7. Its not necessarily all bad. The versatility of DW allows us to plop combi weapons into a kill-team.
  8. It seems there's always changing with the meta. I haven't really played since 7th edition. A few games of 8th here and there but the over bloating of FAQs and erratas with 8th and 9th turned me completely off to anything tabletop. If anything it was the group I played in that had competitive heavy players. I'm all about narrative or casual play, though if there were a 30k campaign at my FLGS I'd probably jump on it. I also don't have a ton of time to build and paint and it feels like a chore to me now that I'm established in my career these days. But hopefully I can begin to pick it back up.
  9. I can't even qualify mine as a pile of shame. I sold off most of the unused projects and left myself with a 60% painted Custodes army worth about 2500 points. Of that I have a Heavy Telemon waiting to be assembled and a unit of Wardens I plan on giving pyrite spears. I also have a 2000 point deathwatch army I'm 80% complete with. Sitting unassembled of this army is a Repulsor Executioner, Primaris Bike Chaplain, 6 Primaris Bikers, Primaris Techmarine, Assault Intercessors, and a unit of Eliminators. I'd love to jump into Heresy V2, but I'm having a hard time getting motivated in Warhammer these days.
  10. I agree. The perspective of Omegon confirms he indeed is alone and his brother is gone. Also the fact that Alpharius' death is similar in nature to Ferrus' with the warp "explosion" from him actually being killed. Alpharius playing Dorn sounds very Alpha Legion like but the track doesn't really follow with the remaining events of the Siege of Terra and the Scouring afterwards.
  11. I've lurked on this thread over the years since it started and would love to get involved in this at some point if there ever is another recruitment in the future. Keep up the awesome work guys, the story is great!
  12. Ah I see. That makes sense. I feel I just need to practice, just write, get the necessary information out as you said and utilize my characters to anything else. I put it practice. Thanks Blunt!
  13. I haven't written anything in months. I have a hard time with dialogue. I'll use this tips to better illustrate my characters and what's going on. I find I overthink when I want to write and then nothing ever happens because I'm trying to make it perfect instead of just writing.
