I've had good success with 6 lascannon centurions even before the 2.0 codex and the IF supplement. 12 lascannon shots plus their supplemental fire from hurricane bolters or missile launchers means that you can lay the hurt on just about everything. I think the biggest problem you can have with the lascannon loadout is overkill since your damage is random where the grav or heavy bolter variants are less varied in their damage output. If you're lacking in dedicated anti-tank offensive power I'd take the lascannon for their ranged advantage otherwise the weapons wouldn't be too complicated to magnetize since the attachment points are decently sized. Utterly unfortunate that there hasn't been a good development since last you heard from Chessex, but I thank you sincerely for your efforts Dosjetka! I'll still be on for my order or for changing it if we ever get around to it and look forward to whatever may happen.

I just looked through Vigilus and there are 3 missions in the narrative section that would be easily modified for Armageddon and already have orks as the opposition, the 6th edition apocalypse supplement also has an entire section for Armageddon that might lend itself to some house rules/apocalypse sized games. Is your group open to some creative liscense? If they are I'd be happy to send you some pics of the Armageddon fluff/crunch from the 6th edition Apocalypse book, I really like the added rules and they could be translated easily to 8th edition.

I'm hoping real life will cool it soon because I'm definitely not getting to any Templars painted in ETL so this will help me get current with what remains to be painted. Here's to another year of Knightfall!

I thought I had a ton with my meager collection, brothers you inspire me!

Haven't seen someone actually post that conversion kit from LegioModels yet so I thought I'd throw up some pictures for the brethren. My thoughts on the kit are that while I really appreciate a non-3D printed option for a full knight conversion and having relatively good cast quality with minimal cleaning necessary it is somewhat expensive considering what you get. It definitely scratches that Templar itch for a proper freeblade that goes along with your crusade or just a cool looking model to have on your shelf. Anyway, here's some pics for reference
