  1. Thanks Kaiju! More Bikes, More Good. Honestly 75 points is a steal for them!
  2. Thank you gaurdian! I figured with the Hounds being Huron's version of the Master of the Hunt from the White Scars, it would make sense to have one of the leaders covered in trophies from all those marks that he's been ordered to kill. It also helps explain why I didn't scrape the Blood Angels details off his leg Yesterday's points changes make me very happy indeed as they've dropped points for the core of every list I make; Marines, Bikes, Raptors and Venomcrawlers. My usual 1500pt list and crusade list has just gained another 80 points all of sudden which was impressive. I definitely won't complain! They've also dropped points on Maulerfiends too which has given me some more ideas on how I could convert one up as well as Possessed and even Havocs! The juices are flowing
  3. Leave the poor mecha crabs alone For the Admech side of things, I do wonder how much they'll have to change to get them to work properly. Currently the only build that works for high level play is the 20 man squads of Vanguard and Rangers physically blocking movement on the board and shooting stuff to death which is kinda boring for everyone involved. Good to see C'Tan getting a kicking although will still be around
  4. On the Dataslate front, currently it looks like the only change is that the previous Custodes and Orks changes have been removed as they now/are about to have codexes. Although it does still say January so maybe this isn't the final document? Either way the points changes are really nice for my CSM. Reduced points for Marines, Bikes and Raptors is always the core of my lists. If only they'd had a look at Defilers and Fellgor too
  5. So we've gotten the new points (MFM) and Rules (Dataslate) updates for 10th: Munitorum Field Manual Balance Dataslate
  6. A busy couple of weeks for me as I got married on Monday! I did complete the Biker Lord (obvioulsy very important to do ) last week but didn't have the time to post about it "Varn the Bloodrider, one of three Marshalls of the Hounds of Huron. Varn is an expert duelist, taking trophies from each of the targets Huron gives to him. A Shield from an Ultramarine, armour from a Blood Angels, Klaw of a Warboss, the bones of saints and skin of a witch. Even his title is the trophy from his previous dark master" Varn is done! I think with the extra sand build up around the back tyre the Akira-slide effect I was going for worked out great. I'm not too sure what's next as I'm currently getting through my Slaves to Darkness backlog with the imminent arrival of AoS 4th edtion. The Chaos Codex is right around the corner too! I've got the Helldrake with a red basecoat down that I'd like to get done to tick it off as well as the old metal dread and some more basic marines too
  7. =][= We don't allow for sharing of videos with profanity: The video is also inherently politically focused. Both of these are pretty clear in the rules =][=
  8. =][= Let's stick to the topic folks. If a comment breaks our rules, please report it and we will deal with it =][=
  9. Those Noise Marines are nearly as old as me and have been in nearly every CSM publication since the 2000s. They've earned their rest!
  10. =][= Reminder to stay civil folks, I've hidden some sniping comments. If you feel a comment is out of line or breaking our rules the best thing to do is report it and move on =][=
  11. This is definitely GSC, good spot! We've got the Codex coming up soon but there's also genestealer themed expansion coming to 'Munda to, I think?
  12. I think there's a two fold thing here: 1) The people that run the social media accounts are not loremasters, they've been told very little in the way of actual lore. I do feel for the people that run social media accounts for companies, they get a lot of flakk 2) How else do you introduce something like this? From a meta(?) perspective, if you introduce women being inducted because there's low numbers of Custodes (say after SoT) does that not sound like they're scraping the barrel or they have no other choice so to speak? Realistically in that scenario they'd have had the tech to do it up until that point, why didn't they? That gets worse the further along the timeline you push that too If they go the route of having a scientific breakthrough for it, what was the cause of it not working before? Why did the Emperor, literal God of Humanity with near infinite power and knowledge, not know how to do this? Or any other tech-priest after 10k years know how to do it? "They've always been there but have yet to have focus in novels so far" probably feels like a nicer way of updating 20 year old crusty lore (there's plenty more where that comes from too). There haven't been that many Custodes focused books in the grand scheme of things, it would've been better to have done it 8 years ago as ADB suggested but ho hum. I think the change is excellent as more representation is what 40k needs. The hobby and it's surrounding universe is enriched by the people in it and the more diverse perspectives there are the better the hobby is for it
  13. We're getting there! The weapons are popping now, it's just everything else that needs doing
  14. I think it's mainly down to the tools other top armies bring to the table. Crons, Guard, Eldar and others all use tools that Chaos find difficult to counter like speed, bodies and quality shooting. Terrain matters a lot too for such a shooting focused army, a lot of current CSM lists are midtable "Stat-checks" where they're putting a lot of shots down range and trying to table you rather than play objectives. I think 2x Vindicators and 3x Predator Destructors are likely to be the new focus of lists, Abaddon is such a points sink now as are Chosen and Forgefiends. Competetive games and normal friendly games are much different though and can be difficult to deal with
  15. As Kaiju says, Dark Pacts as an ability is whenever a unit is chosen to shoot or fight: The only stipulation that I see a few people trip up on is that the 4 God Marks are only activated in the Shooting or Fight Phase so do not work in Overwatch (Overwatch cannot be improved above a 6+ unless specifed anyways) but the Undivided one does work in Overwatch:
