Halfpint100's Achievements

  1. Demolished seems useful again now. 2d6 s10 shots will hurt most things
  2. Several points me thinks: Now positioning is even more important for our characters and screens to keep the things we want alive alive. We used to be able to take anything and still be viable, fluff could be important. However to have the best chance against the stronger marines; lists need to be optimized. We need screens, we need redundancy and most importantly faith in the dice gods(or the emperor, take you pick)
  3. Don't forget the relic of lost cadia! And the 1cp strat (forgot the name) where a unit can re-roll hits and wounds. That strat should be in use every turn
  4. That +1 to hit on a vet squad would be lethal. Definitely something to consider
  5. I use a fw vanquisher turret with co-axiel heavy stubber to represent it. simples!
  6. I have seen this tactic be used before at it works surprisingly well, even if a tad confusing for your opponent. Nobody expects the gloryboys
  7. Still quicker than my painting! They look good :) keep up the good work
  8. I love hellhounds, but i would go with the sentinels for the lascannons for the AT
  9. Few pointers: Comissars are now 15 points base and lord comissars 30 points base (before equipment) since they have been chapter approved and faqed so many times that the only thing that is correct in the book is their profile, their moral rule now works as 'you can kill 1 guy and re-roll the result' and use their LD in 6" bubble. Command squads do indeed take up an extra elite slot and you can have a maximum of 1 per officer Rough riders are in the index and cost 50 point base before meltaguns. All in all, there have been a fair few points changes since the army book came out so I would try and get a hold of the latest chapter approved which covers them all. Or use battlescribe which is an army building app with all the points, rules and options contained within it. Hope that helps!
  10. Making GSC bikes into rough riders is something I have wanted to do for a while now! If you do it, don't forget pictured!
  11. Yer I have tried shaking it a lot, it seems to have a hard white layer on the bottom of the tub. Going to take it into a GW when I get the chance and see what they say. Yer think I made a mistake and got the wrong flesh, oops. Going to try and paint the flesh zandri dust and wash over it and see what that does next
  12. Anyone else had their "white" paint being more grey? Mine looks more like the Grey Seer undercoat colour. Just wondering if mine is defective or if it is meant to be a light grey instead. Also my Guilliman flesh paint looks a little pale as well, nothing like the old GW paints, my old scheme was bugmans glow, cadian flesh then Reikland fleshshade wash. Did i get the wrong flesh? Any help from the B&C community would be appreciated :)
  13. Autocannons are good all rounders, But lascannons are fancy and clean if your going for a fluffy side of things. If you are sticking to a small amount of officers, voxs would be useful to spread the orders Plasma works better than Meltaguns in most circumstances IMO but might be better on rough riders with their speed. 2 units of 7 would work well I think. I agree that a priest and a commy are fluffy, priest is just useful as a deterrent to charge your guardsmen and they look cool! a Commy is cheap at 16pts and the extra gun and punch in CC is always helpful. P.s. WIP pics please and MORE infantry is needed! (always more)
  14. you can use it to keep units alive till turn 2, a fair few people use it on superheavies to keep them alive incase they don't get turn one. Then they bring them on in their own table half and open fire! either that or 3 hellhounds in the flank so they cant be shot at and blow up your own units. So pretty much to keep things alive.
  15. Looking forward to seeing what you produce! Don't forget to raid the age of sigmar range for bits and inspiration!
