  1. Probably a Solid plan... But just be aware of the interaction between stuff that disorders charges (Special rules, reactions, warlord traits), and the -1A of skill unmatched.
  2. I assume the intention is to stack "skill unmatched" -1 to hit on enemy units with the sonic shriekers to run over WS4/WS5 units?
  3. The FAQ needs a FAQ... Or they need to stop letting interns or management consultant types touch FAQs....
  4. The withdraw reaction to embark thing is wild... A straight buff to mechanized shooty infantry...
  5. The entire fortification section (and associated rules) was an after-though as well.
  6. The more terrible the existing rules, the more willing players are to letting them be house-ruled for the sake of narrative event/campaign in my experience. Fortifications come to mind.
  7. All of the scoring troop generic choices seem viable to varying degrees... Though Tactical, Assault and Recon seem to be the most common in my local scene.
  8. I would frame it as they clearly had *priorities* in game design (make it an infantry focused game, so nerf X,Z,Y). Vehicles, Templates, Bikes, got the short end of the stick, It just happened to effect some factions more then others. Though some of the rules/mechanics issues are ambiguous and need to be FAQed.
  9. Generally positive, though plenty of shortcomings/oversights in rules writing and proof reading are apparent. The reactions are interesting and engaging, but they weren't very well balanced.
  10. The demolisher cannon I imagine actually works pretty well at stripping HP and shaking Fortifications. But that is testament to how terrible GW is at writing rules for fortifications. They suffer from being the red headed stepchild of GW game systems, and HH 2.0 is no exception.
  11. The sad thing is they are "close" to being playable, but they are unlikely to be fixed rules wise. I suspect there utility in this edition will be largely against Mechanicum and daemons of the Ruinstorm.
  12. I've run a squadron of two in some DA eskaton imperative lists. There niche appears to be smashing Iron Hands Medusan Immortals (or any sort of 3+ armor models that rely on FNP). Losing AP2 and large blast hurt, took away there *universal utility*.... That said, I probably will keep playing them, I rarely have trouble finding stuff for them to target and the vindicator itself is pretty resilient (they have the reinforced sub-type).
  13. Can you reaction fire or over-watch with blast weapons in HH 2.0?
  14. Fortifications suffer from being the red headed stepchild of GW game systems... and HH 2.0 appears to be no exception. Be prepared to accept most of them being mediocre without significant house-ruling...
  15. In a legion of tens of thousands its easy to image an original Terran XVII legion herald who didn't agree with Emperor Worship and was effectively kicked out of the legion well before Monarchia.
