Thank you.

Some years ago GW produced Mentor Legion decal sheets. Back then I didn’t have this army but had always wanted to make some so I bought a coupe of sheets. Luckily as they later went out of production.

If/when I run out I’ll have to get some custom decals made, and/or use Plokoone’s Shapeways shoulderpads :tu:

Ah, I'm regretting not buying the Raptor's sheets from FW. I'm doing a Raptors army now and I'm kicking myself. LOL:blush.:

Thanks for the response, I was hoping you had a Ez-Pz free hand method or experience using customer waterslides & could share. :happy.:

I’ve learned to buy things when you can. Just in case ;) Too many times I’ve waited and things I always wanted to buy ‘sometime’ have gone out of production :(

Luckily I did get one set of the Raptors rhino doors/front plate. I’ll make a press mold of them.

In the Forge on the B&C you should be able to find threads on custom decals.

I love both the miniature and the map of the Calixis Sector used as a backdrop.

Which DH book is that? I'm going to have to shamelessly rip that idea off for the Ordo Militum Calixis Inquisitorial cadre I'm currently building!

It’s just the main Dark Heresy (1st ed) book. :)

Mentor Legion (chapter 888), 10th company squads one to four complete!

First squad, tooled up for close combat:

med_gallery_63428_11269_586553.jpeg

Sergeant with combi-melta and chainsword.

med_gallery_63428_11269_252580.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_494774.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_185694.jpeg

Scout with pistol (added targeter to right side from a marine helmet)

med_gallery_63428_11269_101240.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_240943.jpeg

Pistol and knife up and ready

med_gallery_63428_11269_132074.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_48061.jpeg

And his brother, holding his knife the other way

med_gallery_63428_11269_129001.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_2817.jpeg

And the last one. Pistol holstered, he favours his knife. That and screaming “COME ON THEN! :cuss:ING COME ON THEN! Who wants some? I’ll have the lot of ya!”

Second squad, snipers

med_gallery_63428_11269_722907.jpeg

Sergeant taking out a target with his pistol (enemy outflanking them?). Also gave him a comms-set so the squad looks like they are forward observers as well as snipers.

med_gallery_63428_11269_330075.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_240624.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_349164.jpeg

Marksman

med_gallery_63428_11269_260256.jpeg

Shooter 1

med_gallery_63428_11269_381300.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_1181158.jpeg

Shooter 2

med_gallery_63428_11269_719007.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_188386.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_670801.jpeg

Rocket launcher. The decals on his right shoulder pad say ‘Firearms Control Power Supply’ (referring to the power cable from there to the launcher). And there is a Caution marking on the launcher itself.

Third squad, dakka

med_gallery_63428_11269_391826.jpeg

Sergeant, lost the lower half of his face and now has bionics. Note the skull-and-crossbones marking on the right shoulder (suggestions welcome as to what this dictates :) That he lived when he should have died? That he has completed X number of assassination missions as a scout sergeant? Other?)

med_gallery_63428_11269_325029.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_784965.jpeg

Heavy bolter scout found himself a nice couple of rocks to rest his butt and his bipod on.

med_gallery_63428_11269_843374.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_76169.jpeg

Bolter scout stepping up onto a rock

med_gallery_63428_11269_555237.jpeg

And one stepping down

med_gallery_63428_11269_173274.jpeg

GRENADE!

med_gallery_63428_11269_239405.jpeg

Fourth squad, not as much dakka as third, modelled a bit sneaker

med_gallery_63428_11269_697105.jpeg

Sergeant with storm bolter and grapnel. One of my favourites. Tempted to give him a cigar.

med_gallery_63428_11269_127399.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_445423.jpeg

Campaign marking or honour

med_gallery_63428_11269_325813.jpeg

I’ll take pleasure in gutting you

med_gallery_63428_11269_545204.jpeg

Advancing with his pistol to do things (read: the enemy) quietly, but also has his bolter ready if he needs to Go Loud.

med_gallery_63428_11269_88210.jpeg

Squad’s sharpshooter and picnic carrier

med_gallery_63428_11269_568711.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_225567.jpegmed_gallery_63428_11269_322344.jpeg

And bolter scout

Thanks. :)

Your Scouts are fantastic, each has so much character. Way to spice up that lame kit!

The normal squad, snipers, bikers and a landspeeder storm give you a fair variety of bits and poses (particularly the LSS-riding scouts).

I can’t wait to get more, though next up is one more captain, five sternguard and a razorback. That will complete my ETL vow.

I did these minis last year but never got around to photographing them for this thread. They’re not the best photos but...

Captain

Left arm is magnetised so he can have a chainsword instead.

A close up of one of the little text decals I scatter about them. Many have them on their arms. Prayers for a steady aim, perhaps.
