Thanks! I do have some helms with plumes and unhelmeted heads with hair in plume, from some space Wolf sprues and chaos marine sprues. But saving those to the bike veterans and commander, im thinking about doing khan on moondraken because i want him on bike instead of on foot.

Ah cool will check those threads out!

Shame you don't drill your barrels. It's really easy even. :P

I often find that however hard I try, the hole I make is off-centre. I don’t consider myself particularly clumsy/dyspraxic.

It’s like the thing with washes, too. I get told it’s better to stick washes over everything but I fear that will just muddy a neat paintjob and ruin the detail I have put into the model.

I’m not even convinced that undercoating all my models was more than the GW staffers getting me to shell out for some overpriced spray cans!

/morning rant :p

Progress of late. Two squads of intercessors almost done, bikes, aggressors and Vanguard Veterans.

Dude, your Primaris are looking sharp.

However, I think the scout bikes are looking a bit flat, they need some other color in my opinion. Maybe a hollow version of the red markings on the other marines, or the some other details picked out on each biker, like the Primaris Sgts have with their Auspex and purity seals.

As for the absence, I lurk around here whenever I see updates, but I'm a poor commentator. Similarly, this has always been one of the quietest forums, even in 7th (where most people were "counts-as" WS for the traits, and not converting/painting for the army.)

Personally, It's a combination of bikes getting a bit of a points hike in 8th, no way to count them them as troops anymore so I'm really CP starved, and the fact that they're my secondary army.

I've been recently focusing on finishing my Emperor's Children, so haven't been playing, painting, or even modeling my remaining bikes.

Thanks alot brother! Yeah you are totally right about the scouts, there needs to be something more, Thanks for the input! I just need to figure out what, maybe outlined markings as you suggest, to somehow show they are not fully initiated. Will think on that!

I always loved the scars but was too scared to paint white. I was toying around with the Idea of making successors Dark hunters instead but that Idea never fully appealed to me since its the scars i like. I bought a LOT of bikes 3-4 years ago but never had the guts to paint scars but NOW i do

FYI I have a lot of love for the Scars but all the Primaris :cuss: has killed a lot of my enthusiasm for Marines in general.

You can see on one of the more recent threads that I did do some White Scars lately but I didn’t do them before other chapters on the grounds that I didn’t think I could do them justice!

Plus, my first chapter on returning to the hobby was a DIY White Scars Successor and I can’t bring myself to strip and repaint all the bikes from that...

So there are some reasons. But also, for whatever reason Scars were never the most popular chapter/legion; that was part of their appeal to me as it happens (wilful obscurantist that I tend to be)
