Happy Thursday!

I have an exciting and interactive Battle Report Preview and Strategic Challenge for you today!  See the two armies, the battlefield broken down graphically with overlays, and make decisions for both armies regarding objective placement!

What two armies?  You know one is my Blood Angels Death Company army.  What would be a great counter army?  Obviously Khorne wanted a say in this!  Come see what he has thrown into the mix!

Do You Like Melee, Bro?  If so, check this out: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/battle-report-preview-strategic-challenge/

This battlefield is DANGEROUS!  Between the 5 effects everyone voted on and the two armies, it will be a bloodbath!

Happy Monday!

I finally received my "lightning effects" in the mail and immediately went about finishing my "black hole" effect!

Check out the "shocking" final results, here: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/artistic-narrative-content-55-proto-black-hole-terrain/

Additionally, I have updated the thread covering this idea from conception to suggestions to this final completed terrain piece.  Check that out here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362065-the-color-of-void-lightningelectrical-discharge/

I like the purple with blue in particular. They work best together, with the purple as the main color.

If you're still taking suggestions... I'd like to see you do a showcase of your models sometime. I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering what your collection actually looks like at large, and wanting to see more of your paint work.

I will be sure to do that as soon as I finish this latest battle report.  I am going to need some serious space.  I have never put out all of the models for some of my armies and it sounds like fun to see a whole force displayed at once.  Great suggestion!

Just published a "Top Secret" tactic article!  It has been a while, and I will be producing a lot more graphical content now that the majority of the arctic terrain is built and painted.

This article deals with assault and maintaining space between your rows of assaulting models so you can fit even more into combat.  I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but it is true.

Come see why leaving space between rows of attacking models equals more models in combathttps://overwhelmingodds40k.com/top-secret-tactics-assault-stop-piling-in-keep-your-distance/

Feels good to be producing this type of content again, I really enjoy making the graphics.  If there are any concepts you want to see visualized, let me know!

Hopefully everyone is taking advantage of the isolation to be "Warhammer Productive" (Trademarked! )

Here is the 2nd half of the Challenge Mission with the Khorne army as the attackers and the Death Company as the defenders.

Will the Emperor protect?  Find out here: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/ca-2019-challenge-mission-domination-battle-report-khorne-chaos-demons-vs-blood-angels-death-company/

I have some more amazing content to publish so keep an eye out for those tonight!  The ice lake battlefield has been finished and I have some artistic content articles to highlight how it came to life.

Burning the midnight oil...

Just published another amazing "Artistic Content" article featuring my ice covered lake.  But, wait...there's more!  You can also see the battlefield I will be using in my next battle report!  It is incredible!  Pretty sure it will be a Tau vs Tyranids battle.  I love the Tyranids aesthetic and have been wanting to go "full swarm" with a list for a while.  The wife wants to use all the new Psychic Awakening goodies for her Tau.  Cool, Tyranids love blue smoothies.

Check out the battlefield here: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/artistic-content-56-ice-covered-lake-bonus-content-a-detailed-reveal-of-my-next-battlefield/

Ironing is an essential Warhammer 40K skill!

My new favorite quote from you. :biggrin.:

You certainly are getting some mileage out of that sheet of plastic, mm? Good to see you're putting it to work so well - having anything in this hobby save money is so difficult, it's nice seeing cheap things look/function well.

Finally received the last component for my solar array in the mail today!  Check out this very large "Artistic Content" article to see the incredible truss model kit from PLUM and the step by step construction of my solar array. Plus, there is a ton of bonus content showcasing multiple builds with the truss kit.

I hope you enjoy the content and it helps pass the "quarantine" time.

Happy Friday!

I just published an article on how to enhance your terrain with simple materials.  I do exactly that with some of my terrain.  Taking it from Oh! to Whoa!

30 minute terrain enhancements, here: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/artistic-content-58-enhancing-evolving-your-terrain/

I have another surprise article to share, that is going to really WOW you!  Check back for that within the hour!

Hint: It is an excellent scatter terrain piece from the movie "The Thing" to complete my terrain set paying homage to the movie!

I am really excited to showcase this piece of terrain.  Now I have all the elements I wanted from the movie "The Thing".

I hope this generates some excitement and inspires you to create amazing terrain during this pandemic.  Take advantage of the time as much as you can.

See my UFO here: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/artistic-narrative-content-59-the-thing-ufo/

I am taking requests for anything you want to see visualized.  If you want to see something visualized holistically, ask.  Anything at all, from movement ranges, assault positioning, piling-in, and/or unit formations.  I will be brainstorming and creating some visuals for an upcoming article as well.  It really helps when you can "see" it.

Just published an amazing battle report featuring the Tau vs Tyranids!  They fight across my "ice covered lake"  and it is GLORIOUS!

Warhammer on Ice, here: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/ca-2019-eternal-war-mission-four-pillars-battle-report-tau-vs-tyranids/

It is a very close battle.  It is a massive battle report.  If you ever wanted to know how large some of my battle reports REALLY are, I made this one a single part.  Enjoy scrolling until your thumb hurts.  Hope it helps pass the quarantine time!  More battle reports are incoming, as I will be having more battles than normal and publishing them more often!

Now to build and paint up my Nemesis Dreadknight!

Stay safe everyone!

Today's article covers the importance of terrain with height and all the nuances that come along with it.

This is a MUST READ honestly.  Terrain and the rules for charging in 8th can create super not fun scenarios.  I go step by step showing how to manage the rules interactions while enhancing battlefields for better tactical options and gameplay.

Lots of photo examples so you can see exactly what I am taking about.  You definitely want to read this article.  Everyone will get something out of this,

Don't be afraid of heights: https://overwhelmingodds40k.com/height-creating-battlefields-for-effect/

Also, make sure to check out my latest battle report, I have received excellent feedback from readers saying it was awesome!
