Edited to add roll.

I asume Racel is light enough not to be a problem for Brynjarr to actually carry.

No, not a problem for a superhuman who can bench-press three cars!

Mazer your view of Ains movement is great. Though the pace can pick up if Rachel gets carried

Cheers :) it just made sense to me.

Yes, the pace will now be a good Astartes battle-speed.  You'll reach the Laying Up Position/Observation point by morning.

We will have to pause Hellebore Minima there though, to allow for the others to post, and we will likely have very little forward momentum until maybe Monday next week, as this weekend is going to get busy for me.

Feel free to post any narrative in the IC, or drop thoughts and questions here in the OOC, as I can deal with those reasonably quickly.

The wind is picking up and the rainclouds you saw coming over are spitting and spotting water down onto the canopy above in a sprinkle of white noise that your Lyman's Ear easily filters out as harmless.  To the East, five Kilometres away lies the target, and although you can't see it, your sensoria can detect the power draw of a large complex.  Brynjarr carefully deposits Racel under the overhang from a boulder, and she comes-to.

Have we somehow passed/looped around Objective Rho? We came from the east and where heading westwards.

Well spotted - that's my bad, it should indeed be 5km West.

Thanks for letting us know - hope it goes alright.

Are you chaps going to post a sentry?

Tro, since you weren't Forced Marching, but doing reasonable speed, you're only lightly tired (not mechanically rules-wise fatigued) and therefore only need to sleep for about 15 minutes to be fully rested.  Feel free to add this to narrative if it's any use.

I am still working out how Ains is going to go about this but yea a guard and him making their position concealed is a good idea.

Good to know, though I would expect that Brynjarr will need some additional time to deal with the long hours of being in close proximity to a pariah, such as  meditation to rebalance his mind or similar, will see what comes as I write.

Somebody else can stand guard for the first bit; Brynjarr can join or relive sentry duty later if needed.

Will post in a bit!

I wanted to let everyone know that my final exams are coming up and I doubt I'll be able to be super active, but I'll try to not delay things in April. In May though, I doubt I can come on the forum until the 20th at the latest.

Maybe you could model TWC-sized "were-templars" who's inner Templar took over in the fury of battle transforming them into a giant half man - half templar?

I'm about to do this concealment roll (which I will be VERY embarrassed if I fail), but I do have training in Tactics: Recon and Stealth. Would I be able to make a test in that to maybe give my companions a bonus to their concealment if I roll well? Giving them a few pointers and such.

Yep, that would be appropriate.  A Pass on your Recon/Stealth will improve the score of any roll made by the squad by 1 DoS.

Maybe you'll be a better instructor than Carde. I think he was just yelling "Hide behind THAT tree, THAT one" while just pointing indiscriminately in the jungle.

I don't know about that, but yea I was thinking instructing on how to blend the dirt to obscure silhouette, and lines/angles of vision, what disrupts most forms of techno based observations, and where the enemy is observing from based off auspex readings.

Just an FYI, Ains does have some training in it (and the same Solo Mode), but you can only really provide assistance to one character as you don't have the dedicated Recon and Stealth Tactical lore.  This would narratively assume a Bloodmoon Hunter would learn about personal camouflage for a stalk, not how to hide a unit.

Not everyone has guerrilla training either...confused.gif

Fair enough, and Ains rightfully has more technical aspecs on his mind. What I was more thinking Carde as the defacto Stealth Commando would have better knowledge of how to get the unit to break up and what not, but Ains would provide insight how to defeat or confuse the sensors of the Tau as a technological expert. So a kind of work hand in hand kind of situation to improve the narrative more, less to make actual impact more to the numbers.

I get what you're driving at, although it's a bit of a double-edged sword...as any electronic signatures or tomfoolery could provoke more interest than it diverts.

Active measures would sure, but there are passive measures like trees have a high rate of signal absorption, certain materials can bounce and confuse materials, background radiation like from the sun can do that. Certain signals can be used to mask other signals if the noise floor is raised high enough and around a listening station it may well be. Understanding power ratios of their equipment how to tune them to be lest obvious on auspex like equipment. Just a few ideas off the top of my head. (can't tell that I like this kind of stuff lol)
