Yea, seems fast paced and with movement along other planes, might be fun. It also seems to echo Deus Ex with the augments, perhaps? Blending all of those things has to be a winner, surely?

I am impressed with the level design, atmosphere, speed, enemy diversity, and player mobility shown in that game. I haven't played any FPS games in the last 4 years or so. Maybe I am impressed because I don't realize how much the genre has advanced. If that game turns out as good as they made it look I will be totally on board.

I'm surprised at how good this looks, and doubly surprised at how soon it's coming out. Gameplay looks great, hopefully the story is good.

Deathwing had its problems but I loved the atmosphere and amazing grim background.

 

This seems more light-fun and action-based but equally interesting.

I don't know if its the quality of the trailer but it looked really hard to tell what was happening. There just seemed to be so much visual noise to me. I'd like to give it a try when it releases though.

It's hard to gauge from six-seven amalgamated clips made into 30 seconds, but those enemies looked a bit bullet spongey, and the environs didn't look nor particularly feel warhammer-y. Also, the sound design for the guns felt a bit... lacking. Just like in Deathwing.

The gun play looks boring and copy-paste from CoD. The assault rifle doesn't really feel Necromunda-ish (and other sub-machine guns from the first trailer). I will wait for more gameplay trailers and reviews once the game is out. So far, I don't have high expectations. On the positive note, the game is already $36 and I expect it to drop to $20 fairly soon after it's out.

Deathwing looked great but was shallow, and had a few too many flaws to properly get into. Always felt like it was made by people who had heard of Left 4 Dead but never actually played it to see why it was good. Unfortunately this looks like it might be the same but for CoD... I don't think 40k needs the CoD treatment and I haven't played that for ages anyway, it's disappointing as I was hopeful for this :confused:

 

I will wait and see as always, perhaps I can be convinced when we see more.

I feel that boltgun sounds a bit underwhelming? I imagine a bolter designed for use for a regular human rather than a space marine should be a bit less powerful but hearing the weighty thud of the bolters from other games, this just sounds like any old autogun to me.

Actually, I quite like the Boltgun. It feels and sounds like what I'd expect a boltgun fashioned for unaugmented humans to feel and sound like. There's still that familiar barking noise when it fires but its not as bombastic as something I'd expect to be held by a space marine. Also, the more I see of the action, the more I am reminded of the Wolfenstein remakes - which is a big plus in my book. As long as the story is at least decent I'm pretty sure I'll get my buck's worth out of it.

People like to whinge and moan about "the good old days," when things "were cool" and now somehow aren't.
One would think that this energy would be better invested in pursuing things one finds more to one's liking.
Then again, common sense doesn't seem to be all that common.

One of my biggest problems with deathwing was it's sound design and how all the guns sounded underwhelming. This isn't as bad, but it's still not quite there. The bolt gun is meant to intimated; the sound is oppressive and the damage horrifying.

Alright. That looks... bad. It feels muted, like i'm hearing it muffled. I also feel the ROF is a little too high, what's the difference between this and an autogun at this point? 

-edit- for a release of June 30th, that reload animation looks like it has very little "weight" to it.

I've played the :cuss out of this companies games, and this looks so much more like EYE, in all its janky, high octane glory. And even if it's :cuss, the models and environments Streumon are always fantastic, nearly worth the price of entry themselves.
