The Librarium Painting Challenge

Recommended Posts

Small update, quarter done with the chaplain. Just have to paint the shoulder pads, the helmet, pistol... and lots more.

If your wondering about the colour on the scroll I'll be painting a lighter colour over it, just trying to get an aged look around the edges.

Predator is assembled and needs a base coat. Hopefully I'll have the chaplain finished tonight and move on to the pred at the weekend.

A quick update. 5 Ultramarines have been 'completed', but my camera has decided that its days of taking pictures are over.

'completed' = painted, need basing. One guy lacks a left arm (need to order decent power weapon) whilst a second lacks a shoulder guard.

General update, I said I was going to increase my vow to a 10 man unit.... well here they are:

Very Nice. I like them. Would it be possible to see a close up of the kneeling marine & his bi-pod mounted weapon? Are you using it as a 'Counts As' Heavy Bolter?

I, Wiggle 2.0, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least 1 tactical squad with transport on or before the 28th of February, 2009. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done. In addition I vow to have 2500 points of space marines painted by or on January 1st 2010.

Here is the close up on the guy with the modified boltgun, it can be used as a countas heavy bolter... but the reason the squad doesn't have a heavy weapon is that they were built from scraps and I didn't have any heavy weapons that I could spare.

I now know why I have never seen an Executioners army before in my life. I think I have just gone blind painting just the basecoat on a 5 man squad. If I ever get this army finished I am putting it on eBay for £3,000 so I can get corrective laser surgery on my retinas.

UPDATE:  :D

Played with my Marines yesterday (won the game btw) and on the way back home, I thought I'd leave my car unlocked, I mean nothing have ever happend, so yeah I left my car unlocked and went into the local store to buy some food; got out; no car! So, basicly they stole my car and my Marines (and majority of my Imperial Guard) so I'm affraid I can't keep working with this Painting Challange; acually think they were not after my marines, just my car...

Best Regards

Nilsson
