Making Actual Scale power arms

Just a quick update to my earlier guide of converting Actual Scale Space Marines (found here), that I felt would be better delivered in it's own topic.

 

It's a quick step by step on how I made the arms for my more recent artscale conversions. I think it's pretty self explanatory but fire away if you have any questions. The size difference may be rather subtle but it really does make all the difference. It should be noted that the top of the arms is best attached to the torso a little lower than it normally would be to provide extra length in the arm. GS padding is required anyway to make the bigger shoulder pads fit nicely so it's not really an issue most of the time.

 

Also the first bit of GSing (number 7) should be allowed to cure before moving onto the next step.

Well thats nifty. Though I would like to know how you did the elbow pad. Do you just smooth it out, let it dry, then it looks like you cut it to shape? How did you get that actual elbow angle from the two previous pictures?

excellent stuff lamenter. that should help make weapon variation easier than the termy arm option.
