Chaplain Kit-bash(es) for Grotsmasha's comp

Well I decided to enter Grotsmasha's Chaplain Kit-bash competition. I plan on doing at least three chaplains for the competition, each with different loadouts and poses.

Here is a WIP of the first. I think that he has some good elements so far but needs an overall bulking out. I have never used green stuff but I want to add a harness of some sort, or other types of details to his chest as he seems rather plain at the moment.

Here is a list of pieces:

Head, torso, left arm: (unknown origin)

Skull Helm (required for comp): berserker head with removed "ears"

Crozius Arm and shaft: Space Marine Veterans MK2

Crozius head: Force staff head from finecast terminator librarian

Combi Plasma: Finecast Terminator Librarian (one of my fave bits of all time)

Jump pack

Smoke stacks: Interrigator chaplain from Dark Vengeance

Legs: Grey Knights

Base: Random piece of wood found in my back yard

I'm happy with his progress, but I have some more ideas for him and plenty of ideas for the other two.

I love that combi-plas aswell, I didn't know that librarian came with different options. as far as decoration goes I think you could probably gas some long scrolls on his front and remove the smoke stacks, they add a wind direction to the model that's difficult to follow with seals and stuff. Still, awesome kitbash.

I think that my plan is to a large number of smaller purity seals, once painted they will add a nice constrast to the black armor and break up the singular coloring. I agree that the smoke stacks make longer scrolls impractical but the smoke stacks are my fave bit, so they will certainly stay :-)

Nice choice. My chaplain also has nice flowy tabards and scrolls all over him.
