remember that if you fail the vow all previous ones are eliminated as well, so chose wisely belial83. beter do a small vow and complete it, than go big and fail

@ belial83: A great show of skill! And I really like to see DAs in black - what can I say? It suits them! Congratulations mate, a timely completion! Now if you're thinking of another vow please take what Aradiel said very seriously. Failing any subsequent vow means that all previously completed ones are nullified and will count for nothing. So if you're certain that you'll complete, go right ahead. If in doubt call it a day. ;)

@ Galthan: Well done sir! Another black DA army! :D You have earned the right to the Custos Fidei my friend - once it becomes available!

 

@ Paul: Seriously? You'll manage 1kpts in a couple of weeks? :o Good luck - you know how much is at stake here....

 

@ Everyone: This is an important weekend ahead of us. Let's see some first vow completions until then and more importantly let's see the follow-up vows being completed - we DAs hate loose ends! :)

Cap'n, I have three weeks to paint 7 models, it's not gonna be bad at all, let me tell you.  I honestly am kicking around a 5th vow if I wrap this one up next week...  

 

 

Most of the base coats are on now, need to prime one of the Dreads yet, will try to do that tonight.  Once the base coats are on and the first washes done, it's all downhill in my mind :D

Congratulations Jeff! This is truly an epic completion! Love the Master with the mace! ;) Also great to see those stone-age marines there - good luck with them but remember: you cannot fail in this vow for failing one vow is failing all!

We have only 32% completion rate among the first vows. Now we need to raise this to 70% if we're to threaten to Chaos scum!

Like I said guys, if you are stuck, ASK.  Failing a single unit vow is pretty awful, but a single model vow is pitiful.

 

I remember a couple years back when we had an over 80% completion rate for the LPC - that was freaking EPIC.  Can we not do that again?  

 

I care about winning in points, but I think winning in completion % is more important.

 

As an update, I slammed out most of the Contemptors last night, and I put down base coats and washes on the 4 librarians.  Heading into detail next.  Need a new can of primer for the Dreadnought, but it shouldn't be too hard.  That conversion was so much fun I think I want to do it again, this time I want to do a bigger conversion, I'm leaning towards doing one with a Nemesis Dreadknight's Force Weapon.  Won't make it into the ETL, but will probably be a winter project.  

 

Keep pushing folks.  Lets see some completions!

If I ask for help will you come and paint for me? biggrin.png just kidding, termies are mostly finished now, and the white was giving me the most issues, dread and bikes are about done, just have the tac squad to do... trying to get them done so I can get in a second vow! itll be little though thats for sure.
