++=======++ Update 2 ++=======++

I decided to experiment with ways to add some armour detail.

The first is to take a piece of stylized metal, clip some of it off, and 'round' it to fit on the model.

The second way is to play with molding a stylized pattern onto the armour.

I'm also working on reposing the figure so he will be standing on a fortification wall rather than running.

What do you think?

Really nice work guys, glad to see all the challenges being made. Augustus, I think at the end it would be cool to showcase all the completions in their own post.

Anyway here is where I'm at with my biker at the moment.

Along with other side projects :wacko.: .

giving up hope is the first step to damnation in the emperor's eyes brother! I would love some multi angles on those if you get a chance!

Mercution and our friendly neighborhood ex-Corsair apothecary I'm thinking. I'm sure I butchered the spelling on that first one, and am blanking on the apothecary's name (Vashiel?) but didn't want to look up the names before offering a guess.

Obviously I need to reread that whole series again.

I, Aias, accept the challenge set to me by Firepower, and vow that I will finish building, painting, and basing my Alpha Legion Contemptor before April 5th. Completion will earn me eternal glory, while failure shall yield me shame until Midsummer.

Now, I just have to figure out two things: what is his name, and what on earth am I going to do for the base? Haven't quite figured out what my basing theme is for the Legion.

Fortunately, those shouldn't be an issue. Just have to go get a new bottle of spray primer.

Isn't it Alpharius?

That gets a little harder to explain when you're a dreadnought. See, when you die, they give you a number and take away your name.

Nah, there is only one true answer:

What do you mean there are ten???? I know I got challenged to 5 but the other (finished) members need jump packs too, ya know  They do need a little work here and there but that will get done with the dudes wearing them!

Obviously then, he is Number Six.

Some awesome updates and a challenge. Excellent work people! It's a pleasure to see everyone posting their stuff here, very inspiring!

@Andra'Melek: that Primarch, with its simple but effective conversion and a very original paint scheme, has awesome poured all over it. Congrats on a beautiful finish mate.

@Rashbold: another inspiring take on a primarch, with very original ideas to get in that filigree. I like the chin armour, but you might want to thin that upper armour slightly. All in all a great start.

@Kierdale: that mechanicum priest is eeeeeerie mate. Very atmospheric.  :tu:
