Again beautiful work. The weathering is outstanding! Threads like this are such an inspiration to try and achieve more.

For picture uploads I use photobucket and find it fairly easy. You have to make an account first but other than that its not too difficult at all. After you have uploaded pictures you can resize on the site and it also provides the correct image code links to copy and paste straight into forums like here.

I use the B&C one. Pretty straight forward and always work.

Admittedly having to resize less than 2mb is a minor inconvenience but nothing major!

Had a short break from painting any Krieg models.

I've been working on the Belisarius Cawl miniature from the Triumvirate of the Imperium box.

I know he's not strictly an Astra Militarum model but he's part of my force so thought I'd squeeze him in here.

I was really daunted at first, there's just so much detail, though GW washes are a God(Emperor)send!

How did you go about assembling and painting him?

 

I haven't put mine together yet. I am not sure if I should assemble by parts and paint before final assembly. Or just assemble him and paint it all at once.

From memory the WD article suggested doing it as sub assemblies. Which is why I haven't built him yet.

Warriorfish is right, build and paint in sub assemblies.

Luckily the kit breaks down nicely! The axe and bits are one piece, then assemble the bottom half and top half separately.

It's a beautiful model and I'm sure you'll do a good job.

OK, I've finished my Deathrider Command Squad which includes a Regimental Standard and

a Commissar on top of the Deathrider Colonel. I'm currently working on the basic squads.

I just got some Engineers through the post so not sure whether to work on them or more Deathriders?

Finally finished my first regular squad of Deathriders!
I'll probably be adding to this squad and 2 more (I want 3 squads of 7 on top of my Command Squad)
Can't say enough good things about the sculpts, they're easy to build and are a joy to paint.

Glad to see you have a full unit done. I really need to get my second unit of Death Riders plus commissar done one of these days. Unfortunately the Tamiya paints I did the rest of my Kreig army in is so excruciating to use, I've held off.

I've just seen the new rules for Deathriders in 8th.

golly!! They're total beasts!

I thought they were good before but now they're incredible!

Hunting lances are used on every charge, toughness 4, 2 attacks, 2 wounds each!

The mount puts out 2 attacks at strength 4 after the rider attacks.

If that wasn't enough, any wounds taken from strength 4 weapons are ignored on a 5+!!!

I now feel my project has gone from fluffy to power gaming!

Though I will still be going ahead with everything I have planned.

Can't express how chuffed I am at this point!!

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the list fleshes out.
