I vow to paint two ork boys and four grots. They are the undercoated guys in the photo. The whole photo is for my Kill team for the Iron Gauntlet.

I have been struggling badly of recent, as you are all aware. I finally got some paint on models the other night and damned if it didn't feel amazing...

If I knock these guys out then maybe it will help me re-find my mojo.

I'd also like to start on a plodding along project - I'm finding that the end of each month has this awkward phase when I've finished one vow, and could take on another but it would put me under a lot of time pressure. So instead, I'll have the plodding along project to turn to. And, frankly, I've had it so long that if I don't find a way to motivate myself, it's not getting done.

 

 

I, Rogue, vow to complete six Cult acolytes by the end of June, and one drop pod by the end of the year (for the glory of the Xenos faction).

Well, time for a new month of vow-taking, possibly my last one where I'll be home all the time from social distancing. This one's going to be completing more from my mountain of shame, which was left in a TTQ state many years ago, but certainly not to my current standards and thus in need of some fine detailing work and clean up to befit their status as First Company Astartes:

I, Brother Cambrius swear to complete 10 custom Vanguard Marines in the colours of the Sons of Doom before the month of June 2020 is over.

I, Dwango , embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge, and for the month of May pledge to complete 1 additional harlequin player (Masque of the soaring spite) to the defence of the Xenos Faction by month's end.

I decided to leave my painting comfort zone for a bit and took a dive into highlighting curved surfaces. The result is probably the most satisfying green I have ever painted.

I declare my vow complete. Seeing how my magnets were the wrong size, I amended that buy painting an additional 5 paladins on top of painting/fixing Lazarus. The BC/Apothecary will have to wait until this month to be done.. Pretty happy how both of them turned out, however it's still a far cry from what most people post. Pictures in spoiler.

MAY SUMMARY

May saw 2 new Frater taking up the Challenge, joining the 29 returning Participants. Th 31 participants vowed a massive 385 models, of the 31 Frater, we had 30 complete their tasks, and complete 355 models. That makes five months straight of 200+ models. I'm really impressed by the continued participation of all of you

The Favourite was a really hard choice this month, close contenders were TPS' Warbringer Titan, Gore Crow's Onager Dunecrawler, but this months Favourite goes to Dwango's fantastic Harlequins (all of them), those diamonds.....

Campaign Summary

For the first time this year, the Imperium did not complete the most models for the Month. Due to TPS' massive output, and The_Chaplains third Plodding Along Completion, the Xenos completed 144 models, with the Imperium completing 131, and Chaos following up with 80 models.

The Imperium have managed to maintain their CP advantage, earning 99CP for this month. The Chaos Forces managed to increase their CP this month to 64CP, with the Xenos Forces receiving a large boost to their CP for some Plodding Along Completions, giving them 70CP for the month.
